FaZe Jarvis has recently come under fire from Fortnite, Epic Games, and the gaming community for uploading a video showing him playing with an aimbot in a Fortnite game. In this video we discuss the ban.
We sort out first what the context of this ban is and what's going on. We also mention Fortnite players Xiff and Renaldo and their temporary bans at the Fortnite World Cup and ability to requalify. We talk about FaZe's responsibility in the issue as well.
I think a lifetime ban for FaZe Jarvis is pretty harsh. Especially considering the context of other bans that Epic Games has done, including the Rise Xiff and Renaldo bans. FaZe Jarvis is a 17 year old kid and he displayed textbook immaturity with the aimbot upload.
We were all immature at 17, and a lifetime punishment for this is severe. It may take a year or two, but setting out a pathway for Jarvis to redeem himself with good conduct would eventually be a good move by Epic Games.
