Diablo III (or 3 for the non-roman numeral types) is an action RPG developed by Blizzard entertainment and released in 2012 for Windows and OS X, and in 2013 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. It features VI (6, sorry) unique character classes, from demon hunters and barbarians, to monks and wizards. The player is tasked with the tumultuous quest of taking down the titular lord of horror, Diablo (spanish for devil). Diablo three plays much like its II and I predecessors, in which players can level up their character to learn new techniques, which are fueled in a different fashion depending on the player's class (the barbarian's fury or the hunter's hatred and discipline). The environment of Diablo III features a great deal of destroyable objects, from chairs and crates, to chandeliers and even traps to help gain the upper hand (or just for a laugh). Another key feature Diablo III continues from its predecessors is the randomization of equipment, meaning that (this is an exaggeration) you may just happen to find the world ending greatsword out of the corpse of the first bunny you accidentally step on. With a wide variety of classes and play styles, in conjunction with randomized drops Diablo III promises new challenges with each run. In this, the Reaper of Souls expansion, it seems that a certain angel of death has been stirring up trouble. And with rumours circling that he may have been responsible for the return of Diablo, it seems that we may have to pay him a visit.
