What Warp? Ignore Boss Mechanics Run! (Fail Run) Act 3 Ch 7 Pt 2 Lufenia+ [DFFOO GL - Vol#349]

A mistake at the last minute cost me the run… I put too much faith in aphmau lol, 3T from her and she couldn’t take out even 1% of Sephiroth’s HP… I retried this stage at least 5 times so I’m abit reluctant to do this Strat again for now hahaha, RNG wasn’t kind.
Regardless, the Strat here allows you to ignore all those Turn Warp, Cleanse, Dispel and HP Attacks from Sephiroth (except the last one which cannot be avoided).
So to start things off, there’s 3 HP threshold from Safer Sephiroth to watch out for: 79%, 49% and 29%.
Phase 1: 100% to 79%
The chill stage, all you need to make sure is Aphmau use her LD on Quistis right before the 79% threshold (I would recommend using it at 80% since her LD can cut down precisely 1% of Sephiroth HP).
Phase 2: 79% to 49%
This is the part where you’ll need to time it well, as the orb has appear and none of these 3 characters are capable of increasing the orb by 2 per Action, so use Quistis’s S2 to push the boss back to oblivion and swap Cissnei in, it is highly recommend to use a 3T Cissnei instead of 5T as we’ll need Quistis back for the last threshold. Use Aphmau’s LD on Vaan to drop the boss as fast as possible before Cissnei swap back out to deal the maximum DMG, but you’ll need to time Aphmau’s S1 and S2 well to make sure she take the last hit before boss drop to 49% so Vaan can swapped in. Use summon to build space so that you can ignore the second warp.
Phase 3: 49% to 29%
Make sure Cissnei stays as long as possible (before 30%) so when she swap back out with Quistis, Aphmau can bring her in and the orb management would be at optimal level. Warp Quistis in so you can use her to delay the boss when the boss warp in.
Phase 4: 29% to 1%??!!
Lastly, drop the Boss as much as possible until the orb count is at 1 and Vaan is the next to go, use Vaan’s BT to build the orb back up. Then when the boss use its AOE HP ATK, Vaan’s Bt effect can prevent the break, lastly it’s really up to RNG to where your Vaan placement is, if it’s before like mine, maybe try HP attack instead of BRV, and if it’s after Aphmau, use Aphmau to heal once, then don’t use HP and BRV attack so she wouldn’t get instant turn, use Vaan S1 or S2 to nuke the boss.
