Poison aur Venom ka Fark

Poison (विष):
Ye wo zahar hai jo khane, chhoone ya saans lene se body mai effect karta hai. Example: kuch mushroom, cyanide, kuch frogs ka skin poison.

Venom (दंश विष):
Ye wo zahar hai jo active tarike se inject kiya jata hai – jaise saap, bicho, scorpion apne fang, sting ya dant se inject karte hain.
Matlab har venom ek type ka poison hi hai, lekin har poison venom nahi hota.

Snake venom alag-alag toxins ka mixture hota hai, lekin broadly 3 major categories me divide kiya jata hai:

Neurotoxic Venom (स्नायु-प्रभावी विष)

Nervous system ko effect karta hai.

Symptoms: breathing paralysis, blurred vision, muscle weakness.

Example: Cobra, Krait.

Hemotoxic Venom (रक्त-प्रभावी विष)

Khoon aur blood vessels par asar karta hai.

Symptoms: severe internal bleeding, clotting issues, swelling.

Example: Vipers (Russell’s Viper, Saw-scaled Viper).

Cytotoxic Venom (कोशिका-नाशक विष)

Cells aur tissues ko todta hai.

Symptoms: severe pain, necrosis (flesh galna), swelling.

Example: Some Vipers, Spitting Cobras.

India me zyada death inhi 4 snakes se hoti hai:

Cobra (Naja naja) – Neurotoxic.

Common Krait (Bungarus caeruleus) – Strong Neurotoxic.

Russell’s Viper (Daboia russelii) – Hemotoxic.

Saw-scaled Viper (Echis carinatus) – Hemotoxic + Cytotoxic.

Summary

Poison = passive (khane, touch, inhale).

Venom = active injection (bite, sting).

Snake venom = mix of proteins, but mainly Neurotoxic, Hemotoxic, Cytotoxic (kabhi kabhi Myotoxic bhi hota hai jo muscles todta hai).
