46Answering one of the more commonly asked questions for Yoshi mains, here's Yoshi's optimal control scheme:
Default controls, except for:
- Tap jump off
- Tilt stick (C-stick set to Attack)
- Shoulder button (i.e. L, R, ZL, ZR, etc.) set to Special
- Shoulder button set to Jump
This applies to GameCube, Classic, and Pro Controllers, since they have a C-stick. You might have to choose between Special or Jump if you use a GameCube controller, depending on your setup.
However, control schemes are also based on personal preference, so do whatever's comfortable for you -- just make sure to keep these pros and cons in mind!
