Hi guys, been watching for a few weeks now and I feel like I need to ask for some help.
I'm currently running a semi-open world game using Pathfinder rules but set in my own homebrew world. The premise of the game is that the party have to stop a major catastrophe that they accidentally caused by releasing an ancient evil that is building an army to take over one of the continents. In the session 0 we discussed that the point of the adventures would be for the PC's to gather allies and artifacts to help them defeat this ancient evil but now we are about 10 sessions in and they don't seem interested in actually thinking of things to do, they are constantly asking me to tell them where the next adventure is through NPC's that are supposed to be following them.
My biggest question is how can I help them come up with ideas on what to do and where to go without rail-roading them along only gathering allies that I dangle in front of them?
