In Street Fighter 3 you could 'split' the charge for any given move. Basically it was possible to charge down, dash forward, charge down again, dash forward a 2nd time, charge down then hit up+button and you'd still get the special move. It gets more complicated than that, but that's the basic idea. It's called charge partitioning and it's a fundamental, developer intended part of 3rd Strike.
I had some fun ideas around parrying into charge partitioned specials but it seems like performing a parry destroys the charge. Instead, there's 1 clip of Remy blocking a ton of attacks standing and then doing a flash kick.
