I applied a paralysis potion to my crossbow, and that causes the ragdoll effect. The crossbow is aimed at a point that Wulfgar will reach. It's shot as he starts to crouch, so it flies over his shoulder and he runs into it because he's traveling faster than the bolt. Too soon and he'll get paralyzed before moving. Too late and he'll hit the bolt after the effects of Whirlwind Sprint has gone.

Firing at Wulfgar is not a quest breaker. He's classed as essential and finally climbs up the mountain
