So GTA VI got delayed again, and at this point, by the time it finally drops, it'll have been nearly 13 years since Grand Theft Auto V first launched back in 2013. Sure, GTA Online has kept the franchise alive with constant content updates, roleplay servers, and shark card sales keeping Rockstar more than comfortable. But when you really think about it, that’s over a decade without a brand-new, single-player GTA experience. And it raises a pretty obvious question: why hasn’t anything else stepped up to fill that gap? Why, in 2025, isn’t there a clear, definitive alternative to Grand Theft Auto?
