In what is probably the most anti-climactic means of doing so I've finally gotten lucky this episode and landed a Mountain Whitefish again. My tip. Go directly under the bridge. The waypoint IS A LIAR! But with this white whale landed we're also able to try clearing out the other easy tutorials and progress through the game further. It is shocking just how swiftly you can go through these other goals/tutorials for the beginner species compared to the Whitefish. And I will say for certain again the game NEEDS a means of changing or rolling the time of day along to make night species easier to target.
