Who Develops Character's Better? Marvel or DC?

The biggest sin that American superhero comics finds themselves in is a staggering lack of substantial character development. It’s the double-edged sword of having legacy characters that must at all times be recognizable to fans who’ve been familiar with them for decades, but also provide enough new material to keep new fans interested. One of the biggest reasons manga has supplanted american comics in readership are that there’s a definitive beginning and end to all of them. No series has lasted 80 years like Superman or Batman, and the longest running active manga series, is one of my favorites of all time: Golgo 13. But despite lasting that long, Golgo 13 has not changed very much and isn’t popular worldwide like say Goku or Naruto.
