In this video, Sean and Andy discuss Kang the Conqueror, the new Big Bad in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Kang is a time traveler and historian from the 31st century, who first appeared in Fantastic Four, Number 19. He has multiple identities in the main Marvel universe, including as a member of the young Avengers, Iron Lad and Scarlet Centurion. Kang's goal is to conquer all civilizations and timelines, and he wants to work with the counsel of Kang, which consists of all his past, present, and future selves from every reality. Kang is associated with the Fantastic Four, and there is speculation that he may be a descendant of Dr. Doom. Although Kang does not have natural powers, he can control and manipulate energy and matter, and he has a superhuman intellect, as well as proficiency in hand-to-hand combat. It was reported that one of Kang's goals in the future is to create a timeline without superheroes. Andy speculates that Kang is all about wiping out timelines so that he has one true branch, one true timeline that he can control alongside his other variants. This video was filmed live at Fan Expo Portland, and Andy is invited to answer Sean's questions about Kang, as he is more knowledgeable about the comics.
