Why are the planets spherical?
It's all due to GRAVITY.
The more mass there is in a specific place, the greater the force of gravity will be; for example, if we have two objects, one with a lot of mass and the other with less mass, the body with more mass attracts the body with less mass.
In space, in those regions where planets are formed, such as planetary nebulae, the larger rocks begin to attract the smaller ones for millions of years; over time, massive bodies are formed whose center of gravity is located precisely in the center, and everything is attracted to that center where the force of gravity is more significant.
And since gravity is the same in all directions, the bodies acquire a rounded shape in the end. That is why the planets are round and not square or flat.
