This dev/publisher obsession with western gaming censorship forms part of a way larger conversation but I've only got a minute in a short to say what I want.
The biggest, most recent culprit of this behavior appears to be anytime Amazon Game Studio gets a hold of an Asian game and intends to publish it for western audiences but this is not the first time or even a unique case. There are plenty Triple A studios out there hellbent on unnecessary and ridiculous censorship.

And no I don't mean regular ESRB rating stuff. I mean the stuff they did to themselves.
