Should we buy put options to cause the squeeze?
Yesterday, Trey's Trades spoke about how market makers are using and abusing options to push the price of AMC down (agreed), but also spoke about how we should play their game and buy puts on AMC to make money (to which I heavily disagree).
Calls help push the price up, this is factual information and has been quoted many times by the likes of Thomas Petterfy, Dave Lauer and many others. Calls can be used to over-run the hedgies and cause the squeeze.
However, its also widely known that puts push the price of AMC down, so, why would we help the market makers push the price of AMC down and potentially harm the squeeze, just to make some extra money on the side?
