I had an interesting question from one of the
@cptsmoke0001 , DayZ Community yesterday:

"I added moded vehicles to PC server , edit the types files but they despawn when player leaves. Do I need to add custom events or something for them ?( I will only spawn them with VPP )"

So in this beginners guide tutorial video I explain that unfortunately admin-spawned vehicles, from mods such as Zomberry or VPP Admin, will disappear on a server restart. If you want a car or truck to have perseverance or persistence, you need to spawn the vehicle in with a custom event (good for console) or give your players the money to buy vehicles from a Trader (PC).

The above info was believed to be correct as of DayZ Update Patch 1.28, July 2025.
