I had been ask a similar question which is coding hype and my answer is yes and due to programming hyped everyone is jumping into coding career.
Now a lot of my friends who didn't accept Programming overrated but now accepting. If you really have a coding passion than got for it and listen to no one but if you are just learning coding because you hear on the news or the Barack Obama said Everybody need to code than stay away from it.
Not everyone need to code and a there few peoples we need which need code but everyone need to learn first aid and cooking which is not being taught in school or college.
Coding suck for me and a for lot of Computer lovers out there.
If you have a career and love programming than become a programmer or otherwise do jump on the coding hyped train.
