G’day, everyone. I’m back again doing something a little bit different, today I wanted to show you something a lot more exciting by talking about one of the greatest villains in video game history. You’ve got iconic, memorable and nostalgic villains like Bowser, Ridley, King K. Rool, Dr. Eggman, Wolf O’Donnell, M. Bison, Andross, Dr. Wily, Shao Kahn, Hades, Sephiroth, Dr. Neo Cortex and many others. But the main attraction of this discussion is none other than the Demon King himself, Ganondorf or simply known as Ganon and I thought I might show all of his appearances all together and discuss why Ganondorf is one of the best villains in Nintendo’s lineup because I thought you might like that.

My friend Chad Peterson is joining me in this one because Ganondorf is his favourite villain of all time and it’s also his birthday, so consider this video to be his birthday gift. Joining me and him are King Olly from Paper Mario: The Origami King, Astor from Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Zant from Twilight Princess and Ghirahim from Skyward Sword who are here to help provide additional information whenever it is needed. And 75% of them are part of my villain voice acting career, if you didn’t know.

First off, this video is split into seven important categories which can also apply to every other video game villain for the sake of future reviews on them: Design, Atmosphere, Performance, Personality, Threat Level, Boss Fights, and finally, Memorability and Appearances. Secondly, we’re not counting the Nintendo Land and Animal Crossing versions of him because they have goofy designs and aren’t meant to be seen as serious so they’re disqualified. Thirdly, we are especially disqualifying the CD-I, TV show, and Super Smash Bros. incarnations of Ganon from this discussion since the former two are way too easy to poke fun at, while the latter is Sakurai’s second punching bag behind Waluigi. And finally, there will be spoilers for Tears of the Kingdom, so if you haven’t played the game then don’t watch this video if you care about spoilers.
