In 2007, "iCarly" premiered on the Nickelodeon network to near-instant success. Starring Miranda Cosgrove (School of Rock) as Carly Shay, the show followed Carly as she created a fictional web series alongside her best friend Sam Puckett (Jennette McCurdy). Also along for the ride was Nathan Kress as the perpetually put-upon tech guru Freddie Benson. Cosgrove's continued to find success in movies and television, and McCurdy starred in the well-liked spinoff "Sam and Cat" alongside future superstar Arianna Grande.
