Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show I'm your host Paul and yes that is a new intro...yes that's me...stupid Elon Musk looking idiot. Anyway as always this is the channel where they all float and There's something that I really wanna talk about. With rumors of It Chapter 3 now starting to surface online again I thought I'd do a deep dive on everything that we know so far about the project and why it may be coming sooner than you think.
Now It Chapter 2 wrapped up pretty cleanly with the Loser's Club seemingly defeating Pennywise once and for all.
It was a pretty happy ending to the saga, however if you know Stephen King's work then you'll be aware that throughout his long and rich collection of novels that there have been several pointers that hint towards Pennywise surviving.
Even the opening of the source material starts with a clue that he is endless in it's very first sentence.
Upon starting the first chapter you will find the line:
'The terror, which would not end for another twenty-eight years - if it ever did end'
Though extremely subtle and something that most people will forget upon going through it's entire length of 1166 pages...and yes I do own a copy, does hint at the creature never really dying.
In addition to this in the book Tommyknockers, the main character Tommy Jacklin travels to derry and he believes that he catches a glimpse of a clown with silver dollar eyes that is watching him from the sewers.
In the work Dreamcatcher, the character Mr. Gray too comes across a plaque placed in memory for the people of Derry and over the top of it is spray painted the words 'Pennywise Lives.'
Now incase you don't know, when the Losers Club killed the clown in the source material, it actually destroyed a huge section of the town and caused severe flooding.
This is because Pennywise is very much Derry as Derry is Pennywise and thus taking it out took out a large part of the foundation and allowed the sewers to overflow.
Now whilst Andy Muschetti, the director of the films has said that he thinks the two chapters were the conclusion of the story between the losers and Pennywise, that doesn't mean that he and the studio aren't working on other ideas.
Now in order to discuss what we know so far about the project we have to travel back to what feels like over 28 years ago...all the way back to September 2019. Bill Skarsgard who played the infamous alien stated that he had been bouncing ideas back and forth over what a third movie could entail and stated that the third film would be something completely different.
When going over this Skarsgard stated.
