According to the developers, the primary cause stems from the conversion of over 7,790 add-ons from the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 marketplace. While most were successfully migrated, some incompatible add-ons are causing the game to freeze or fail to load altogether.
Additionally, the high excitement and demand for what has been described as Microsoft's "most ambitious simulator to date" have led to server overloads. These issues are resulting in loading delays exceeding two hours and missing aircraft in the My Library and Aircraft Select menus.
