I did some digging after this stream and I got some stuff mixed up, my old roommates told me about what happened right after the bust, and I guess the grapevine in Brooklyn was going wild with rumors and misinformation lmao

Apparently the owner wasn't a capo, he was just a financier/money launderer. The police confiscated a rolo-dex from his office(who the FUCK still uses a rolo-dex?) that was filled with contact info of notorious gangsters.

Anyway, that shop DID have the best damn sandwiches in NYC, I took a train over to THAT place in queens and did a comparison. It was pretty good but much smaller and less oily.
