Why streaming on Twitch will kill my YouTube channel
The heated debate, which is better, Twitch or YouTube, for streaming?
This topic been done to death by streamers and gurus way, way bigger than me. Check out Devin Nash, or Harris Heller of Alpha Gaming, they've done really in-depth videos about this.
However, I think I can offer a perspective that they can't. They're both pretty massive figures with well-established followings. I'm a beginner, possibly like you! I started streaming 7 months ago.
This is my opinion on Twitch vs. YouTube as a small streamer: if you ONLY want to stream, maybe create a clip a few times a month to post on twitter, tiktok, and YouTube, stream on Twitch. Twitch is better for pure streaming. If you want to make edited, scripted video content, streaming on YouTube WILL help you get more impressions and clicks on your videos. IT WILL!
Trying to build a YouTube following is incredibly difficult, you will need every single boost you can possibly get. I want to make videos, I think its fun!
