Why other OSs which include GNU software not GNU/...
Why are other Operating Systems which include GNU software not called "GNU/..." ?
Why is it called GNU+Linux?
In this video I explain the naming controvercy, the origins of the GNU operating system, it's relation to Linux and other operating systems.
I also explain the terminology on what it means to be an "operating system", and how that relates to a kernel.
I also explore a double standard some people hold regarding calling GNU+Linux as just "Linux". And how that relates to other operating systems like Android and Mac OS.
