Here i discuss main reasons behind why system requirements for games is getting over the top ridiculous and what developers effectively can do to make them considerably better optimized.

Additional Note (not included in video) :

Shoddy and messed up coding is another reason why games are so heavy these days, if developers take time and effort for a clean and decently implemented code the games could be better optimized this way as well. Extra unnecessary coding / programming also result in higher size which also affects system requirements in a negative way. Microsoft is also culprit of doing such things their OS and it has got much worse in modern version of Windows.
