Why Red Dead Redemption 2 Is NOT a GREAT game
6This is my first ever video and English is far from my native language so please don't be too harsh. Though I welcome constructive criticism.
A review of a 4-year-old Red Dead Redemption 2. I am trying to look at how this game had the potential to be one of the best games in the world, but in the end, could not. Which problems exactly stopped Red Dead from fully utilizing its potential? To be more exact I will be going through the issues of action and pacing.
In the video, I am not covering all the problems that I wanted to. People already talked about some other issues intensively, so instead, I have tried to shed light on the less known problems and explore them. But I wanted to mention more issues that I had in RDR here in the description. To name a few - money is basically useless and has no value past the first 10% of the game. The camp mechanic and the donating shenanigans are basically useless too, as it changes nothing except a couple of meaningless dialogues in the camp. The story does not utilize the Honor mechanic for around 60% of the game, and it really matters only in the last 10% of the story. Also, there is a huge problem of linearity on the missions and RockStar holding your hand all the time.
