Why Splatoon Won't Follow in Titanfall's Footsteps
The fact that Nintendo's new third-person shooter Splatoon launched last weekend with a lack of game modes has some fans worried. Multiplayer-heavy games like Splatoon rely on a strong online community, and Titanfall, the Xbox and PC shooter from March of 2014, lacked content upon launched and suffered significantly because of it.
So is Nintendo at the risk of Splatoon dying before it even gets off the ground? Or can it keep people hooked long enough while all of its free DLC rolls out over the next few months? Though the situation isn't ideal, Nintendo has the ability to keep Splatoon alive and well until August, when all of Splatoon's content has officially hit.
