The Lexus GX 550 is one of the coolest new SUVs on the market, with excellent design, superd driving dynamics, and undeniable off-road prowess. We were able to live with the Lexus GX 550 for a week, and it didn't disappoint. In fact, we were blown away by how much better it was to live with than its sister car, the Toyota Land Cruiser. That's not to say that the Toyota Land Cruiser isn't good... far from it, actually. But the Lexus GX 550 has a better powertrain and ride, although you'll have to decide if it's good enough to justify the higher price. In short, the Lexus GX 550 is a fantastic entry in a crowded segment, and one that is unique since it's truly capable off-road, something not many other SUVs can claim.
