GDDR5 memory on a Graphics card is totaly un-related to actual system memory, So it does not matter if your system has DDR2 or DDR3 memory, You can still use that Graphics card with GDDR5 memory.

Just a simple little video explaining why PC's do not need GDDR5 memory as its main system ram & how the ps4 is NOT! far ahead of PC's due to the fact we had GDDR5 FOR A LONG TIME!!! IT EXISTS ON OUR VIDEO CARDS!!!!

THE VIDEO IS RENDERED BY THE VIDEO CARD!!!! THE RAM IS USED BY THE OPERATING SYSTEM TWO DIFFERENT PARTS!!!! THEY DO TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TASKS!!! WE DON'T NEED GDDR5! BECAUSE WE ALREADY HAVE IT ON OUR VIDEO CARD!!. The G in GDDR5 stands for Graphics or Graphic.
