The Rock, the peoples champion, the most electrifying man in sports entertainment, hollywoods biggest draw DOES NOT WORKOUT PROPERLY.

The Rock does not know how to train or exercise!

The Rock's workout is TRASH

According to his instagram followers.

If The Rock, who is in his 50’s, looks as he does, and doesn’t know how to train, imagine what he’d look like if he did actually know what he was doing.

But what was the rock actually doing to get this viral hate?

Actually it does - and that’s what we’re looking at in todays video which is The Rock is training all wrong - but before we do, comment down below and let me know who your favourite wrestler is. I’ll be revealing mine at the end of todays video.

So recently The Rock posted a video to his IG of him finishing off a chest workout with some incline smith machine press.

Training opposing muscle groups - which is a very old school bodybuilding philosophy that actually works. Push Pull Legs functional training guys might be losing their shit right now - but it’s a great way to train. It’s something Arnold did, it’s something I’ve done from time to time under the advice of Eddy Ellwood. You can also superset these kinda workouts, which makes it great for getting a workout in when you’re rushed for time, or just want to train a bit more intensely.

The Rock states he doesn’t go too heavy, as this is the end of his workout, but he’s still doing 275 lbs which is about 125kg, which is still about 2 and a half plates a side on a smith machine.

This is definitely heavy for the average and even intermediate gym goer. But strength is relative. If The Rock could bench 225kg if this was his first exercise, then yes, this isn’t too heavy. Whats important here is remember not to compare strength to others. It’s relative and unique to you.

Be mindful as to how far you bring the weight down to mitigate that stress on your shoulders, he says he had complete shoulder reconstruction surgery)

And this is what sparked allll the experts to come out and tell The Rock that he doesn’t know how to train. There is a reason The Rock is lifting with partial range of motion here, and i’m gonna cover that in about 30 seconds, but before I do

What The Rock is doing here is something I can somewhat relate to. In february I broke my shoulder being powerbombed in a wrestling match. A grade 3.5 AC Joint disruption. I thought I was gonna need surgery. Found out about 3 months later my recovery was going well enough not to need it. BUT my shoulder pain is still here and it’s likely never going to go away. I can train shoulders fine, but any kind of chest pressing now, aggravates the shoulder. I can totally relate to what The Rock is saying here. When you’ve undergone a major shoulder injury, or in the rocks case, surgery, you need to adapt how you train.
