Why Transformers 5 Was Supposed to be a Beast Wars Movie. I think we can all agree that Transformers The Last Knight is the worst of the Bay movies. While it boasts a lot of cool ideas it does a poor job of executing them let alone making sense of it all. In short it was too ambitious for its own good. And apparently it could've been a lot worse. Shortly after the film's release concept arts started to surface. Which featured characters from the popular 90s cartoon Transformers Beast Wars. Concept art was made for Optimus Primal, Cheetor, and a Cybertronian snake that never made into the final film. Funny enough Megatron was originally planned to transform into a Cybertronian dragon similar to his Beast Wars/Machines counterparts. Which strongly suggest that The Last Knight was originally intended to be a Beast Wars film. Thankfully the Optimus Primal concept was later re-used for Rise of the Beasts. This is...
