2023 Update: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 is the latest film to tell you to book 3D glasses for IMAX when you can't! It won't let you! And because you don't need them as I state!
In 2018, I made a video about their ridiculousness over shoving the lights up way too bright during the end credits, and spoiling the customer experience, and in 2020, I tried to get through to their customer services line to change the seat in a then-forthcoming booking for Tenet at Manchester Printworks.
At least, now you can change the seats on your tickets these days online, but I had a hassle recently with the re-release of Jaws, supposedly in IMAX 3D, and when it comes to booking a 3D film online, there's a reason why you shouldn't select 3D glasses for a quid when booking Avatar: The Way Of Water!
