A brief insight into how we can make this world a safer and better place to live.

For those who prefer to read this video's content, here is my script:

Why we should stop using punishment on people?

Because punishment can cause several massive problems,
including poorer mental health of people,
more complex problems in relationships,
and destruction of society.

Examples like mob mentality and bullying is unhelpful,
because this indirectly teaches all people to block themselves from growing into
happier individuals, blocked from becoming better communicators, and blocked from becoming better problem solvers.
If someone is different or causing problems, why not try to listen to them,
understand them, and maybe even help them?
Helping people might solve these problems more effectively for everyone.

My educated guess for one reason that contributes to punishment culture,
is from bad parenting.
For example, if a child is punished by their parents for perceived bad behaviour,
this may shut down these specific behaviours in the short term,
but this also indirectly teaches these children to solve problems by abusing power
when they grow up.
Then when these damaged adults have their own children,
they punish their children and repeat this unhealthy cycle.
If the intent is to encourage specific behaviours,
then I believe a more effective way is to educate these children by
clearly explaining the intent behind your thoughts and why some behaviours
can cause problems and concerns, and why other behaviours can bring value to that child.
Then, give this child the freedom to choose.
No matter the choice, it is now their responsibility to manage the outcome of their decisions.
Help these children learn how to independent adults who can take care of themselves and
work very well with other people.

Much death, conflicts, and wars could probably have been prevented if
all people were much more willing to communicate their differences and disagreements,
to find a mutual solution.

I can respect people's freedom to feel dislike or hate towards other people,
but I believe this hate does not add value to society, especially
if this will start an uncontrollable witch hunt that can destroy lives.

I believe individuals are often not the problem, they are often symptoms of deeper and bigger problems,
for example poor education and not enough guaranteed financial stability for more people.

I believe judging people with little information or before really getting to know them,
is very unfair.
We are only human, and I believe humans can always be taught, nurtured, and can grow.

Thanks for watching.
