in the current event more specifically the spider king’s lair, many of my friends are asking if the critical ultimate build for Luke is still viable, and if it is, then what is the best build for him.
Using Luke gives +10% points and the higher the damage output of Luke, the higher the points. Players in most servers have very close points, so in order for you to surpass other players or become at the top of the event, then this video is for you.
I have Luke in Burst Set with full attack main stats and Luke should have some crit rate which is 26% on my end, because the blue talent of Luke called Mental Flash reduces the cooldown of his skills by 15% when critical hit strikes and this effect will trigger only once every 10 seconds.
This Luke has an active Night Curse in which when this Luke will not trigger Critical strikes when using his ultimate skill.
I also have Luke here and still he is in Burst set but with critical gloves and sun signet set in which this provides a total of 85% crit rate. In order for Luke to activate his critical strikes on his ultimate skill, I need to reset his talents and the night curse should not be activated.
Night Curse only converts the damage of Luke into true damage in which it ignores defense and true damage is excellent for enemies that have very high defense. Night Curse affects the The prerequisite talent skill which is the Night Energy, that inflicts 60% attack damage and we lost this skill upon deactivating the Night Curse. The game does not specify if true damage negates damage reduction also but let's stick to this Bosshunt event test comparison only.
I have here the damage and points comparison between true damage built in activated night curse and the critical ultimate build with deactivated night curse. This will prove if the critical ultimate build is still viable in this current update and it has already been 6 months since I published this kind of build for Luke. In events that require damage output, then I would suggest If you will be using Luke in tandem with Nord, to use the Burst Set. Burst set provides extra pure damage from range skills that scales up by distance and the farther the enemy, the more extra pure damage it deals. In addition, these extra pure damage from Burst set will have a chance to trigger the lightning bolts from Nord based on the accuracy of Nord.
I also provided tests on Realm Set and Surge Set and I provided the timestamps for those tests and I explained in those videos, if those sets are viable in this event or not.
Now this result proves that Critical Ultimate Build with Deactivated Night Curse is still viable and works best in this current event. The difference in damage is almost 100million and the difference in points is almost 700k in favor of the deactivated night curse build. These damage and points can be maximized exponentially, if you will use Luke together with Nord.
I also provided the Realm Set in deactivated night curse critical build in which this was requested by one of my subscribers if Realm Set is also viable. Honestly, I have no idea if these spiderlings are summoned units but here is the test result of the Realm Set. Realm Set provides +15% attack and the additional effect is that it increases the damage to summoned units by 40%. I was looking for an excellent game mode or event for the Realm set, but until now, I could not find one. In my own opinion, this realm set is also viable for those players who have no Nordthion at the moment. To those who have tested the realm Set, please have a comment on what are your thoughts about this kind of gear.
The result says that the realm set also provides a decent damage output and also points almost the same with the Burst set. And I always suggest use this gear only if you have not acquired the hero Nordthion.

This is the test of the Surge set in deactivated night curse and also in critical ultimate build.
Surge Set is the best gear for Luke in almost all game modes but in this event, Burst Set is way little better if accompanied by Nordthion because of the additional lightning bolts it provides.
