Super Smash Bros Tournament are extremely hype, will you go to one? If yes then great, if no, maybe this video will convince you otherwise.
A documentary video for people who have never heard of or are new to competitive Smash Bros and Smash Bros Tournaments. The short film covers how Smash Bros went from a casual game to a hyper competitive but inclusive tournament setting and explains why anyone should attend a Smash Bros Tournament even if you're a new player or just play the game for fun. Featuring interviews of various figureheads in the Smash Bros Competitive community.
For anyone looking to find local tournaments, I can understand it isn't easy to find but try these methods:
1. Search for your local Facebook group and either post or look in the sidebar
2. Meleeitonme.com, look for "When's Melee?" posts
3. Search reddit.com/r/smashbros or reddit.com/r/ssbm
4. Check the regional forums on Smashboards.com
5. I believe there is some sort of global player finder somewhere
6. At least you can try playing Netplay
Most smash scenes can be found on Facebook if you search for them. For example, Melee and Smash 4 community in Southern California are both called "Socal Melee Community" and "Socal Smash 4 Community" respectfully. Search for the smash Facebook group in your area, join the group, find out where events are taking place. Have fun ;)
