"Wicked" by Rafer {All Coins} | Geometry Dash 2.11
1,459This is a nearly 2 year old level that rafer made in only 3 days. Understandably, the visuals aren't anything spectacular with that build time, but I'd say it still has some charm. If you couldn't tell, this is based on the game Just Shapes and Beats, and I think rafer did a good job at that. The movements, effects, and colors are all very good for that purpose. Many parts end up feeling a bit too empty, though. The level could have been better visually with more detail. However, rafer's main strength has always been his gameplay for me, and this level is no different. It's a blast to play, so I think this definitely deserves a feature, even with some lackluster visuals. On the other hand, the simple visuals help the gameplay a bit as it makes the level even easier to sightread.
- OVERALL COIN RATING -
Bronze. 1/4. I knew this level was quite easy going in to it, probably deserving a 6 star rating. However, as it is a rafer level and features a coin, I had to do a practice run going into it. I soon found out that this was not necessary. The coin is pretty much free. For pretty much all other creators, a free coin wouldn't be too much of a surprise, but when rafer does it, it actually hits very differently. Nevertheless, it's a terrible coin and I hope it's the last time we see rafer do something like this.
- 1st coin: Bronze. The coin is found at 0:17. All you have to do is fly to the top instead of going in the middle. When I played my first practice run and it said "A free rafer coin!?" I was sure there'd be some catch to it later on. Maybe the Ship section at 0:59 would get a crazy buff? That seems like a rafer thing to do for a coin. But nope. Nothing changed. It really is just a free coin. It's not hard to get or find at all. My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined.
