867If you don't own a Wii U: The Gamepad notifies you while the system is off randomly every once in a while about sales or releases. Nintendo can get away with that :^)
A lot of people have missed the point that Nintendo sends out these notifications in the middle of the night. Notifications aren't the problem, it's them in the middle of the night.
