6We check out the 5 player (yes, 5 player!) mode in New Super Mario U on the Wii U. Four players will use the Wii remotes held in classic style to control their on screen characters in classic Mario fashion. The player using the GamePad will be able to use the touch screen in 'boost mode' which will allow you to add in assist blocks for players to jump on. You can also poke enemies to stun them for other players.
As with all Mario games you can play in single player - if you do this, you can chose between playing the game on the big screen or sitting away from the TV and playing using the in-built screen on the GamePad.
