This is a feature that can be found in the Internet Channel from the Wii U. When viewing through the TV screen you can press the x button from the gamepad to view the curtain and while that, your mii will appear and do those tricks. You can also hold down the x button to do a drumroll and reveal something you're on as a surprise.

The curtains comes with 15 colors (while they're split into 2 parts) you press the x button to change the color
