We fight none other than the #1 hyperactive knuckle-headed Demon himself Zed, but then we're confronted by Belselk who apparently tells us that the Guardian Blade was so powerful that it ultimately destroyed itself along with most of Filgaia, the demons, and humans 1000 years ago, the Sand River that we went thru was actually cause by this very blade so it turns of that the Volcannon Trap was in fact…..A TRAP! Belselk attempts to use the magic in the ruins to crush us, but thanks to plot convenience…..and Jane Belselk actually ends up getting weaker story wise, which is how we were able to beat him this time, but we're not actually the ones to finish off Belselk………ok his name is Boomerang and he's my favorite character in this game; anyway we cut to the demons and mother has recruited Boomerang and his dog/wolf named Luceid to replace Belselk and challenge the humans, and to keep Mother safe until she regains all her power, Zeikfried sets up a force field (A Sphere of Light hence the name of their base, Photosphere) so no one can enter……...oh and Rudy talks
