Have you ever wanted your characters to actually BE characters? Develop over time, through tough decisions? If they fall in combat, consequences actually matter?

In Wildermyth, you are defending your land from the scourge of evil that is overtaking. You do so by defending regions of the map and holding them from the enemy. Think tactical RTS in a sense. At the end of the year, all regions held will provide resources so you may upgrade equipment and skills.

The really unique thing about Wildermyth is the character punishment system. I actually FEARED for the life of my characters. I knew, if they fell, I could take a consequence to that instead of them dying but that didn't make it easier. Consequences can consist of many things that hinder the future of the character, like losing an eye or hand. This puts value to every life you play on the field.

This is an excellent preview to the game and I can't wait for more.
