Willow Is NOT Cancelled According To Jon Kasdan
13Jon Kasdan just announced on Twitter that neither he nor Lucasfilms would classify Willow as being cancelled, despite Deadline Hollywood reporting that the show had been given the ax by Disney+. You can read his full statement here: https://twitter.com/JonKasdan/status/1636618831497146368
I'm one of those who thoroughly enjoyed Willow on Disney+. I found it highly enjoyable, my inner child loving most of the show's moments (even if the adult in me may have cringed here and there at a few elements), and I truly felt that Ron Howard and Kathy Kennedy and Jon Kasdan and others had ushered in something worthy of the original film.
Kasdan also pokes fun of those who disliked elements of the show, in a way that is both thoughtful and childlike without being insulting. After all, even if you didn't like the Disney+ version of Willow, you are nevertheless part of the fandom :)
