Wily Machine 7 No Damage
10Mega Man fans often consider Wily Machine 7 to be the hardest final boss in the series, and I mostly agree with them. Wily Machine 9 puts up a similar challenge but doesn't have the same infamy as 7.
There are a lot of subtle but important strategies you can employ to reduce the amount of damage you take during the fight. It's pretty easy to get through the first phase with only one or two hits, but taking no damage either requires Wily to not spawn any skull robots, which is slower, or manipulating their movements to allow you to dodge both them and Wily.
Phase 2 has a lot going on, but essentially you can consistently dodge Wily's projectiles if he's above a certain point, and if he's below that point, you can use the Thunder Bolt to prevent him from launching his orbs of doom.
