File Explorer has a built-in navigation history that, instead of browsing around to find a location you recently visited, you can quickly navigate back to your recent folders. In fact, you can jump directly to a folder that is displayed in File Explorer history.
BTW. There's no secret setup to use File Explorer navigation history. It's not a hidden feature. It's always there on your File Explorer top bar to the left of the "this PC navigation bar.
