Windows Phone 7: My Thoughts
http://michaelsherlock.com
Windows phone 7 needs to be a hit in order for Microsoft to regain its dominance in the mobile phone market. The software looks much improved over WM 6.5, but I'll believe it when I use the OS myself. One nice gesture for the consumer is fairly strict hardware requirements meaning all devices will ship with at least a 1GHz CPU and 480x800 pixel screen. Sadly, window phone 7 will be exclusive to AT&T in the United States in the coming months, an extremely poor decision for Microsoft.
WP7 will launch in 30 countries: October 21 in Europe and Asia and November 8th in the USA.
