Wing Commander: Secret Ops - Dunzo - Let's Play 5/5
2When you think about it, the Wing Commander series is, as a whole, fairly uncreative. Most of the missions are rote patrols with some differences here or there. The big, notable points are in their stories. The bits in-between missions. Since Secret Ops removes those, it lays bare one of the biggest issues with this series: really uncreative, boring and rote missions. It's a shame because other games have much more memorable missions, missions that drive the story, that challenge more than the player's combat skills. Regardless, the Wing Commander series will still hold a special place in my heart for all time, it's just, as a game series, been outdone by other games that do space combat and storytelling a whole heckuva lot better.
