This is the Windows version of Wing Commander included in the Kilrathi Saga compilation.This version of the game was notoriously buggy (missing several sprites in the backgrounds for example) and unstable but its game logic had fixed speed unlike the DOS version (which became rapidly unplayable as faster CPUs became available due to the game going as fast, or as slow, as the CPU allowed), I had it from a PCgamer CD but could never go far due to crashes.
This particular installation has been patched using this fan patch that corrects the bugs and updates the renderer: https://github.com/Bekenn/wcdx/releases
