In version 1.14 in Wings of Vi, as you slide you can jump anywhere you like even at solid blocks, with that you can stop yourself from sliding but you are unable to move unless you slide again. However on a smaller tile such as those in the floating keep you see at the beginning you can also jump through it, resulting in jumping on a higher level than the sliding area.
