These were all done on the Insane speed setting. Items did get used quite a bit, as well as some shortcuts, but I did not use the clashing mechanic at all. If a character tried to clash with me, I'd immediately break the clash attempt. It was a challenge I decided to do for a game I love, to show that you can win without clashing and on the hardest difficulty. In a recent video Caddicarus did ("The Depressing World of Bad Crash Bandicoot Games"... I disagree with him, I think CTTR is fun), he said you HAVE to use the clashing mechanic to win. I wanted to prove him wrong and I did. These races were done with all different kinds of cars.
