Winx Club (PS2) - more OOB spots and sightseeing (part 6)
63Bloom is separated from her friends at Sparks after they've been attacked. "I'll try to find another way out", she shouts from the cave she's fallen into in the vain hope her friends far above could hear her. Then she runs through the wall and goes outside bounds.
The tricks in these vids were recorded, played and discovered with Kazooie.
0:00 - a pretty simple OOB spot and very close to the start of this area. Allows skipping everything in the first room of this ice dungeon.
0:57 - a small clip through one of the ice walls, which is a decent alternative route here (if you had to segment here for example).
1:16 - first, jumping down to the bottom without losing health. Then another OOB... it's very convenient that in the later half of the game pretty much all the screens have an easy OOB spot somewhere to them.
1:59 - the door where you normally have to answer the riddle. To the left of the door there's more of the strange collision that works as if you were out of bounds and you can jump infinitely high against it. It's not a very fast skip, but a skip nonetheless.
2:48 - by staying out of bounds, you pretty much skip everything else that the game throws at you here. Eventually you can go under the staircase and directly towards the throne room. There's no one there until you solve the door puzzle... This is the point of the game where Bloom regains her lost powers, but by staying out of bounds...
3:54 - ...you skip getting your powers back! Unfortunately you won't get past the next boss this way. While the boss fight mode itself grants you firepower, you cannot shield without regaining your powers, meaning you're screwed.
I like how the girls talk about Bloom's new palace in the cutscene without even knowing Bloom is the rightful heir to it. It seems that squatting was their secret intention all along!
Another random thought. Bloom is still wearing the same dress she had when roaming the Black Mud Swamp, and that was at least four days ago in the game's time. She probably stinks like a sweaty landfill by now.
